W: Yes. People usually don't get dinner at a cocktail party.

M: To celebrate the New Year! Why not have a dinner party?
W: Dinner party is so formal for us. We just take it for relaxation. And then some of us may go to a pub.
M: For what? You don't celebrate the New Year with your family?
W: We just drink and chat. Anyway, New Year is a special day and I only celebrated New Year with my family when I was a little girl.
M: It's really fantastic. But you'd better get moving, or you'll be late.
